February 14th is considered the birthday for the League of Women Voters!
The League of Women Voters started in 1920 with the merging of the National American Woman Suffrage Association (NAWSA) and the National Council of Women Voters (NCWV) and has been going strong ever since. The founding goals of the National League of Women Voters were to educate women on election processes and lobby for favorable legislation on women’s issues, 105 years later we continue our goal to empower voters and defend democracy!
